- Lustre Pink and black ceramic vase, thrown ceramic vase. Thrown on the wheel and allowed to dry. I then paint on the glaze, which is done with several glazes layered and fired to approx 1180deg c This makes them very tough. The inside is glazed for easy cleaning. The pink section had had mother of pearl lustre glaze applied, and then fired again. This creates a beautiful, subtle lustre on the pink, contrasting with the semi matt black.
